Matching Contributions to Contributors

Contribution import requires that the Contributors already exist as contact records in your CiviCRM database. If you need to import contributions for contributors who haven't been added to CiviCRM yet, you will do this in 2 steps. First, use <strong>Import Contacts</strong> to add the contact records. If possible, include a unique 'External ID' for each new contact which you can then use to match contributions to contributors. Then return to this screen and import the contribution records.

To change the amount you need to edit the template contribution. Click on "View Template" and then "Edit" from the list of recurring contributions

When checked CiviCRM will send an e-mail receipt to the donor. Leave unchecked when you don't want to send an e-mail.

The contribution status will be updated as appropriate. To update contribution statuses directly, return to the search results and select "Update multiple contributions".

You can choose to send thank-you letters as emails to contacts who are able to receive email. If you choose to do this, you can also decide whether to only print PDF's for the remaining contacts OR generate PDF's for all.
